Coloured capsicum is one of the leading vegetables grown in under protected conditions. Quality production of coloured capsicum is now necessary due to its economic importance as a high-value vegetable crop in both domestic and international markets due to increasing consumer preferences and application in diverse culinary goods. This has resulted in the production of capsicum under protected conditions to fulfil the demands of many markets, which has increased the attractiveness of this crop as a business in urban and peri-urban areas. The crop, which was once the domain of only the wealthy and most elite farmers, is now also a thriving and lucrative business for small and marginal farmers. A non-organized sector of this crop is also having issues with marketability. In this article, we have discussed the utilization, cultivation, production, postharvest management of coloured capsicum.
